چکیده

The vibration performance is critical to the suspension control and torque precision of magnetically suspended momentum flywheel (MSMW). translational torsional MSMW are investigated in this article, damping regulation method proposed improve anti-vibration MSMW. Firstly, modellings MSMW, including dynamic models displacement coordinate, developed, comprehensive characteristics investigated. Moreover, transfer functions vibrations established using dimensionless model, relationship between response stiffness/damping coefficient studied. Furthermore, numerical simulations conducted. Finally, experiments designed verify displacements measured analyze method. results indicate that deflection reduced by 68.8%, angle mitigated 71.2% regulating coefficient.

Free Vibration Analysis of a Six-degree-of-freedom Mass-spring System Suitable for Dynamic Vibration Absorbing of Space Frames

This study is concentrated on the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a simple three-member space frame coupled with a dynamic vibration absorber. The dynamic vibration absorber is modeled as a six-degree-of-freedom mass-spring system. For the first time, the free vibration of an elastic structure with a six-degree-of-freedom mass-spring system is found. Each member of the space frame has un...

A Low-noise, High-bandwidth Magnetically-levitated Momentum-wheel for 3-axis Attitude Control from a Single Wheel

This paper proposes a new concept for attitude actuation for small satellites that uses active magnetic bearings to support and tilt a spinning rotor to provide 3-axis attitude control of the satellite using a single actuator. A controlled 3D motion in the spinning rotor provides a conventional torque output about the momentum axis and a gyroscopic torque output about any direction in the plane...

Vibration Control of Cantilever Beam Based on Eddy Current Damping

A great difficulty is faced in the design of such structures due to the fact that the reduction in weight results in low rigidity and reduced vibration characteristics. Apart from the vibration is effectively controlled; it may destabilize the system and may, very often, result in complete failure of the system. Several advanced applications, such as those in jet fighters, automobiles and space...

Dynamic Performance of Magnetically Levitated Rotors

Magnetic bearings are selected as the physical systems because of the recent tremendous research activity in their use in high performance machines. The input-output characteristic makes such a system inherently nonlinear and unstable, so it is necessary to implement a desired control to it. However, if the system dynamic behavior and the limitations from the control system hardware as a whole ...

MIMO Active Vibration Control of Magnetically Suspended Flywheels for Satellite IPAC Service

Theory and simulation results have demonstrated that four, variable speed flywheels could potentially provide the energy storage and attitude control functions of existing batteries and control moment gyros on a satellite. Past modeling and control algorithms were based on the assumption of rigidity in the flywheel’s bearings and the satellite structure. This paper provides simulation results a...
